A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you’ve got a cloud hosting with us and you wish to activate the catch-all option for a given e-mailbox that you have in the account, it will take literally only one mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available next to each and every email address that you have set up under any domain hosted in your account. You can pick one single email address per domain by clicking on the corresponding button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button once again will disable the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will display a cautionary note and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature till you delete the forwarding or you can simply select some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated server with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud platform. All the email addresses that you set up with any domain name hosted in the account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable this functionality will be to click on that icon. In the exact same fashion you will be able to remove the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will warn you in case you’re trying to enable a second catch-all email address for a given domain name or if there is enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or modify any feature automatically or without your approval.
